Despite complaining about low grip and a very slippery road surface, Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën C3 Rally2)started the Ardeca Ypres Rally in an ideal way by a best time. He was half a second faster than his countryman, Adrian Fourmaux (Ford Fiesta Rally2) over the 7.32 km stage.
Chris Ingram took the third fastest time with the VW Polo GTi, and there seems to be an interesting battle with fellow VW driver, Davy Vanneste. The pair are separated by 4 seconds. Then comes Maxime Potty with his Citroën C3 Rally2 leads a small group of Belgians from position 5 with bunch of drivers separated by just a few seconds.
