The Ypres Historic Regularity 2025, which will take place on 5, 6 and 7 December this year, is once again shaping up to be a grand event!
One month after registration opened, the entry list is already well filled. Currently, more than 100 teams are on the competitors list, neatly divided between the regularity category and the Ypres Revival, a tour without a competitive element. Registration is still open. If you want to take advantage of the “Early Bird registration rate”, do register before 1 October.
It’s not only the entry list that looks strong – the sporting content of this year’s edition is equally promising. “This edition will be more than ever a “real Ypres”. Both on Friday evening and throughout Saturday, the route is 100% mapped out in the Westhoek. The menu includes regularity tests that are part of Ypres rally history, but which have never before been included in the regularity version of the Ypres classic. However, we are keeping the exact names of these regularity tests secret for now.”
New challenges for the participants, but also very exciting news for the organisers of the Ypres rally and enthusiasts of historic cars. “Every year, the Ypres Historic Regularity attracts a large number of spectators. – which is unique for regularity competitions! By mapping out two complete stages around the Westhoek, complemented with several regroups at well-known “Ypres Rally locations”, we want to make the event even more accessible. It will only benefit the atmosphere and experience, both for spectators and participants.”
On Sunday, during the third and final day, the course designers have an unprecedented finale in store! This should ensure that teams with “terrain knowledge” no longer have an advantage. In any case, the excitement is guaranteed to last until the finish line!
