The Ardeca Ypres Rally will take its familiar spot in the Belgian Rally Championship. It will be the fourth round of the Division 1 Championship on 27 and 28 June. Just like last season, drivers in the Division 2 Championship can enjoy the specialist road on Saturday 28 June. This will offer teams, in particular the local drivers, the opportunity to take part in the jewel of Belgian rallying for a very reasonable budget.
What is exciting, is a third competition for the 2025 Ardeca Ypres Rally. The European Historic Rally Championship is returning to Ypres. Whatsmore, a separate competition for Historic vehicles will be organised once again.
“The FIA has asked us to organise a separate Ypres Historic Rally again, counting towards the European championship,” says Alain Penasse, chairman of Club Superstage. “The last time we welcomed the European Championship to Ypres was in 2019, when the FIA round was won by Björn Syx with his BMW M3 E30. In the meantime, the European Championship has evolved well and there are quite a few fast youngtimers at the start. The program of this ERC Historic round has not yet been fully determined, but the Historic participants will probably drive 2 stages on Friday evening and two loops of 4 stages on Saturday, good for more than 130 km of competition.”
The teams and drivers in the three rallies will all be welcome in the service park in the centre of Ypres. Each will experience the drive over the same start and finish podium, and everyone will be able to enjoy the unique and cozy atmosphere of the Ypres Rally in the same way.
