The countdown to the Ardeca Ypres Rally is on, and with less than 100 days to the first stage, preparations are in full swing. There has been a certain French flair over the last two years, with Adrien Fourmaux (2023) and Stéphane Lefebvre (2024) taking the win. It is clear that the Ypres Rally is very popular with the Nordists. The challenge will get even bigger as, to promote participation, the Ardeca Ypres Rally and the French Rallye de la Lys are joining forces to launch a Challenge that motivates participants to drive both rallies in the border region.
The French drivers used to come to Ypres in great numbers, and it still remains popular with both drivers and fans, 2025 offers a great opportunity to boost the Franco-Belgian battle. To that end, Club Superstage and Lys Auto Racing, organizer of the French Rallye de la Lys in Saint-Venant are launching a Challenge. The five highest-ranking participants in the Rallye de la Lys who register for the Ardeca Ypres Rally will receive a bonus of €500, €400, €300, €200 and €100 respectively.
This means that the winner of the Rallye de la Lys registers for the Ypres Rally, they can receive a discount of €500. Those outside of the top positions might still have something to fight for, as the five prizes will go do other drivers if those in the top 5 do not register. So, if the top six drivers do not register in Ypres and the seventh does, then that participant will receive a discount of €500. The same applies to the other bonuses. The Rallye de la Lys, which will be held from 18 to 20 April, will in turn offer these discounts next year for five teams that register, in order of their ranking this year in the Ardeca Ypres Rally.
It is an original bonus system to re-energise the French connection!
